Who the heck am I?
I try to seem professional, but sometimes I screw up.
I like
Dance, bowling, new gadgets, cars, concept art, tactile interfaces, product branding, learning, smiling, clementines, good Korean food, the smell of fabric softner. At times I am
Hilarious; Anal-retentive; Spontaneous; Too excited; Silly; Strange. (according to my Johari Window + other sources)I want to
Design products and interfaces that trigger a sudden rush of excitement and prolonged content upon use, draw concept art, dance in the office, make your day brighter.I was
Born in Seattle; raised in Taiwan and the San Francisco Bay Area; designer; artist; overachiever.I've called myself a graphic designer since 2004, but as of 2008 I've delved into the world of industrial design. I am extremely interested in combining my graphic design skills with my industrial design in the form of product branding. I would love a career designing consumer electronics, soft goods, or concept art (An opportunity to engage in one of these areas in an internship or job would be awesome!).
In my spare time
Grid systems and swiss design excite me. Traditional sketching and rendering of concept vehicle designs, figure drawing, and architectural sketches capture me for hours. I am an avid breakdancer and locker, president of CMU's Taiwanese Students Association, secretary of CMU's IDSA student chapter, and web programmer.I can do
Sketching and rendering, ideating, rapid prototyping, physical prototyping, mockups, CAD modelling in Solidworks or Alias (or Rhino), user-centered research, contextual design, Adobe CS4 (PS, AI, ID, FL, DW), layouts and presentations, HTML + CSS, some Java/script, nice massages, elbow cracking, and more (if you ask me).I am currently working on
Some minor updates to this website, as well as some freelance storyboarding/web design. So, how about it?
